Conceptart : Warhammer 40K "Yamnin Alpha Psyker"

The Yamnin Alpha Psyker is the most powerful psyker to emerge from Yamnin in nearly ten thousand years. Isolated from the Imperium of Man for millennia, Yamnin, which still adheres to the truths of the Imperium, did not view the discovery of this psyker with complete fear. Despite a strong sense of caution, he was nurtured and educated under the insistence of the former planetary governor of Yamnin.

From a young age, he displayed extraordinary intelligence and calmness, as if it were an innate gift. Under the strict scrutiny of Yamnin’s independent Tribunal, he learned while receiving care from the former planetary governor, with whom he interacted like brothers. This familial bond became his anchor against the influence of the warp.

As an adult, he voluntarily confined himself within the psionic containment prison developed by the Tribunal and the Mechanicus (this mobile prison also serves as an anti-gravity single-person craft and a device to aid in psychic guidance, but the Tribunal can forcibly suppress his powers if necessary, even loading him with self-destruct capabilities to deal with any loss of control). His main intention was to alleviate the political pressures on his brother, the current planetary governor.

For many years, he lived as a recluse in the mountains of Yamnin, leading a monastic life of discipline and training, possessing a high degree of self-control and wisdom. The citizens of Yamnin not only regarded him as royalty but also as a master, while his psychic abilities served as a source of counsel to the current planetary governor through psychic communication.

As one of the rare Alpha-level psykers in the 40K universe, he chose not to channel his powers towards offense and killing; instead, he wholeheartedly pursued the path of manipulating the psychic fields. After years of training, he has developed the capability to generate an exceptionally strong psychic force field (some say even more powerful than the layered shields of a Warlord Class Titan). He swore to use this ability to protect Yamnin. (Although the psychic force field can block attacks, he understands that using it offensively could create a force strong enough to crush everything in its path...)
