Falcon All-Terrain 2WD Scout Sidecar
"Where the heavy walls end and the golden ocean begins, the Falcons ride. They are the eyes of the Regency, carrying the memory of the steppe wind and the thunder of Chogoris."

Background & Design History
Golden Age STC Heritage
Underneath its rugged, mud-splattered exterior lies an ancient relic of human engineering. The underlying full-time two-wheel-drive (2WD) chassis of the Falcon Sidecar is built upon a preserved Dark Age of Technology (Golden Age) civilian Standard Template Construct (STC) held exclusively by the Yamnin Adeptus Mechanicus. Originally designed as an ultra-durable solo exploration vehicle, it possessed extraordinary off-road capability and mechanical reliability, engineered to operate seamlessly in the most hostile environments imaginable—from frozen arctic tundra to treacherous mud flats and jagged sandstone spires.

Militarization & Tactical Upgrades
Over ten millennia of isolation, the Yamnin Astra Militarum militarized and upgraded this civilian STC to serve as their primary mobile outrider:

Modular Light Plasteel Armor & Solo Roll Cage: The vehicle's front apron and upper chassis are reinforced with field-replaceable Lightweight Plasteel Armor Modules, providing protection against small-arms fire and shell shrapnel without compromising agility. A high-strength Protective Roll Cage Framework encases the driver's cockpit, preventing the vehicle’s weight from crushing the single operator during violent rollovers in rugged terrain.

Miniaturized Malleus Rocket Launcher: Reverse-engineered by the Yamnin Magos-Artisan from salvaged 41st Millennium Imperial Guard rocket artillery fragments, the sidecar mount was equipped with a specialized multi-rocket pod in place of civilian cargo racks.

Saturated Salvo Fire: The lightweight and easily produced rocket pod perfectly satisfied Yamnin military doctrine: deploying highly maneuverable solo platforms to unleash saturated salvo fire, breaking enemy infantry surges across the golden plains.

Tactical Role & Battle Doctrine
Solo Outrider Role: Combining ancestral nomadic instincts inherited from Chogorian heritage with Yamnin’s defensive pragmatism, the Falcon Sidecar serves as the sole mobile vanguard force in an army otherwise built for static siege warfare, executed by single drivers performing forward scouting and hit-and-run skirmishes.

Solo-Operator Ergonomics: Tailored specifically for solo combat, the vehicle features handle-integrated triggers and console micro-targeting systems. This allows a single Yamnin operator to steer through brutal terrain while simultaneously aiming and firing both the prow-mounted "Three-Eyes" lasgun Spear and the sidecar rocket pod (firing anti-armor high-explosive or hive-suppression warheads). In close quarters, the driver uses chassis rams or trench sabers to defend themselves.

Single-Driver Bailout Protocol: Should the vehicle be destroyed in battle, the protective roll cage shields the single driver from catastrophic impact. The lone operator executes an emergency dismount from the wreckage, immediately regrouping as a boots-on-the-ground infantryman to continue the defense of their homeland.
