"XuanWu" Centaur Articulated Armored Personnel Carrier

Forged during millennia of technological isolation far from Terra, the Yamnin Sector suffered a catastrophic tech-degrade—permanently losing the STC schematics for standard Imperial Chimera and Leman Russ chassis. Driven to desperation without the means to forge standard heavy armor, the  Magos-Artisan of the Yamnin Mechanicum excavated deep subterranean vaults to uncover the sector's sole surviving crawler STC: the humble Great Crusade-era Centaur light tractor.
Using this single spark of STC data as a foundation, Yamnin Magos-Artisan leveraged remnant 30K technology to completely redesign its geometry into a dual-chassis, heavy hydraulic articulated transport—officially christened the Xuanwu, the iron spine holding Yamnin's defense lines together.

Tactical Design & Key Features
Asymmetrical Extreme Armor: Due to the weight limits of a light chassis, 90% of the Xuanwu's physical and energy defenses are concentrated entirely on its frontal arc. The cab features an ultra-thick, angled Super-Heavy Ceramite Dozer Blade integrated with a light deflector field generator. When facing high-AP anti-tank fire (such as Melta or Heavy Lascannons) from its frontal arc, the combination of sloped ceramite and energy deflection grants it a level of frontal survivability that surpasses even a Leman Russ Main Battle Tank.

Articulated All-Terrain Mobility: The front drive cab and rear troop compartment are connected by a heavy hydraulic articulation joint. This flexible chassis allows the Xuanwu to scale and cross 3-inch obstacles, ruin walls, and trench breaches with total impunity, while effortlessly maneuvering through the narrow alleyways of Yamnin's clan Tulou fortresses.

External Shield Rack Synergy: The exterior of the rear Troop Compartment Trailer is fitted with specialized hardpoint racks. When transporting a 5-man Yamnin infantry squad, their Plasteel Bucklers are mounted directly onto the vehicle's exterior. Connecting to the Xuanwu's main power core, the bucklers' micro-field generators transform into external spaced armor, dramatically bolstering its side and rear protection.

Dozer Ramming Capability: Equipped with a Miniaturized "Malleus" Rocket Pod and twin "Three-Eyes" Accatran Recon Lasguns, the Xuanwu is far from helpless. During a charge, it utilizes the raw kinetic power of its power-field dozer blade to ram enemy light vehicles and infantry formations, inflicting severe mortal damage.
